George Joseph
George Joseph has around 16 years experience in the fields of Marketing, Sales & Training. He completed his B.E in Mechanical Engineering from R.V College in Bangalore in 1990. He then joined Yuken India Ltd., manufacturers of Hydraulic elements and systems in the same year, as a trainee Engineer. After working in different divisions within Yuken, he was transferred to a sister concern - SAI India Ltd., manufacturers of hydraulic motors & drive units, in 1992. He remained with SAI till 1999 and his varied responsibilities included Marketing support, Sales, Engineering & Training. In 1997 he was sent by SAI to Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, to do a post-graduate certificate course (MPT-Management Program for Technologists). This was his first exposure to a theoretical foundation for Behavioural Skills, and on his return to SAI, he began training his own team in communication skills and Inter-personal effectiveness.
In 1999 he left to Sharjah in the UAE and worked for a year in Hydrolink - a company focused on servicing of Hydraulic equipment, mainly in the Marine Sector. His responsibilities there included shop floor management and training of staff, in connection with which, he was sent to France and Germany.
On his return to Bangalore in 2000, he joined Equitrain Consultants as a senior consultant and worked there for a year, training with the some of the best companies in India.
With a deep desire to measure effectiveness of training in the actual workplace, he joined EximSoft Technologies as Training Manager in 2001. At EximSoft he was in charge of the Internal training, and also operated as a profit center, conducting soft skills training programs for corporates.
In 2002, along with his wife Shuba, he started an Independent training consultancy 'Ginosko Consultants'.
Shuba has a B.E in Civil Engineering with a post-graduate certificate in management from Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. She was with S.I Property Development Ltd., handling marketing and engineering functions. Shuba & George live with their son Yohan, and daughter Hannah in Richards Town, Bangalore.
